As he walked around CDP’s Shanghai headquarters, Aaron has a real silicon-valley feel about him – relaxed t-shirt and chinos, warm smile and happy to talk to the many CDPers who recognized him. But make no mistake, behind the friendly face is a man serious about SAP SuccessFactors and CDP working together to build an HR ecological platform for the next generation of enterprises.

Working Hand-In-Hand With CDP To Break The Rules… Then Rewrite Them

He is clearly the kind of person that likes to break the rules “I wouldn’t say I hate suits… It’s the constraint I don’t like. I’m the kind of person that likes to break down the constraints. That’s the way to become more innovative. I always want to learn more, push the boundaries, and create new solutions.”


他显然是那种喜欢打破规则的人,“我不会说我讨厌西装……但是我不喜欢被约束。”我是那种喜欢打破约束的人。这就是创新的方式。我总是想学习更多,突破界限,创造新的解决方案。


Going forward, Aaron proposes CDP break the rules… and then rewrite them. The proposal is an HR ecological platform fit to service all parts of the HR ecosystem.

Enterprises Must Be Ready For Changing Expectations In The Future

Aaron sees HR at the very centre of enterprises, because they realize that if you don’t have great people, you can’t survive in the current environment. In the future, expectations are going to be different too. “With such fierce competition, you just can’t use traditional HR processes anymore” he says. “Employees will be looking for more - more intelligent solutions to help them make decisions differently and engage with their team differently”.

Aaron attributes these changing expectations as driving the development we are seeing in AI and Machine Learning today - and how they apply to the HR world. Aaron believes the digital revolution is going to make sure that everyone, not just the HR experts, has access to the information they need in real time. “If you can do that, you can suddenly create a very different kind of world, and put HR at the centre of enterprise” he says.

When asked why across all of Greater China, SAP SuccessFactors has only ever partnered with CDP Group, Aaron explained that they are looking for partners who can offer complete solutions – not just software or services – and CDP offers that combination. “We feel like there is a great synergy between CDP and SAP SuccessFactors. We’re very excited about this partnership and think it has great potential for many years to come”.

In his own words, Aaron described the concept of EcoSaaS as fantastic. “EcoSaaS has tremendous potential to create tremendous synergy, that’s really going to help satisfy the customers. A little bit of advice is, yeah, let the customer drive some of the innovation as well.”
